Art

Art lessons are provided by VCA’s degreed Art teacher, Christine Barnitz for a minimal monthly fee. Students explore various media such as paint, craypas, clay, and others for an hour and a half after school one day a week. Art students prepare pieces for Art Festival and take art-themed field trips. Mrs. Barnitz guides students into using Art to glorify God, and to draw inspiration for works of Art from God’s creation. Students in second through eighth grades are welcome to participate.

 

Mpact Girls Club/Missionettes

Mpact Girls Clubs is a program for winning girls to Jesus Christ through love and acceptance. Mpact Girls Clubs provides an environment of support and accountability while helping girls to develop their gifts and abilities. In addition, girls build lifelong relationships with mentors who encourage girls to be spiritual leaders. Mrs. Christine Barnitz and Mrs. Judy Woodward lead the club at VCA one day a week after school. The group attends a yearly retreat and banquet. There are minimal yearly dues. The club is open to girls in first through eighth grades.

 

VCA Band

VCA Band is open to students in fourth through eighth grades. Any student who plays an instrument is welcome to use his/her gifts in the band. The band leads worship for upper school chapel, Open House, National Day of Prayer, and Revival Week. Mrs. Courtney Garris, lead worshiper at Victory Fellowship, directs the VCA Band. Band practices are held two mornings a week from 8:00 to 8:30am.

VCA Choir

Under the direction of Mrs. Courtney Garris, the VCA Choir leads worship for upper school chapel, National Day of Prayer, and Revival Week. Any student in fifth through eighth grades who likes to “make a joyful noise unto the Lord” is welcome! The choir practices two mornings a week from 8:00 to 8:30 am.
